Katie's Story

Katie Germain, MS, OTR/L, is an accomplished occupational therapist with a specialized focus on maternal health. She holds certifications in Perinatal Mental Health (PMHC) and Corrective Exercise for Postpartum Persons (PCES), underscoring her commitment to supporting mothers in their postnatal journey. Beyond her professional pursuits, Katie dedicates her time to volunteering with a postpartum support organization and actively engages in her community by hosting events. These events range from discussions on the mental burdens of motherhood to workshops on mindfulness and health practices, all aimed at enhancing family life quality.

As the creative force behind the beloved children’s book series, "The Honey Bees," Katie has carved a unique niche in children's literature. Her stories prioritize the well-being of mothers, emphasizing their central role in family health and harmony. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, Katie uses the metaphor of a beehive to illustrate her point — if the queen bee is unwell, the entire hive feels the impact. Her engaging bee characters come to life in stories that not only captivate children but also resonate with adults, offering insights into health and wellness. Katie’s books are more than just stories; they are tools for families to read and learn from together, fostering a healthier, happier home environment.
